Alessio L.R. Pennasilico

Mr. Alessio L.R. Pennasilico, a.k.a. mayhem, 30 years, lives and works in Verona (Italy) as a Security Evangelist for Alba S.T.  s.r.l. (http://www.alba.st) His personal and working interests are into Information Technology, focusing on security issues, OpenSource and Digital Rights. That’s why he soon became a member of many independent organizations, such as AIPSI(ISSA Italian chapter), AIP, CLUSIT, Italian Linux Society, OpenBeer, VoIPSA, Metro Olografix, Sikurezza.org, ISAC-IT, Recursiva.org, Thawte, ISECOM’s Hacker’s Profiling Project (HPP), Critical Infrastructures Security Test and Analysis Lab (CrISTAL) and many LUGs. He is usually invited as a speaker at most of the national events such as IT Underground, Hack in the Box, CCC, Confidence, SMAU, Infosecurity, E-privacy, Linux Day, OpenCon, OpenEXP, ESC and the italian HackMeeting. Alessio also holds workshops in secondary schools and italian universities, with the aim of spreading the culture for an aware use of nowaday’s technology.

His main areas of competence are related to firewalling, High Availability, penetration testing, SCADA security, criptography, Critical Infrastructures security, VoIP, privacy, MacOSX, Linux, OpenBSD and OpenSource philosophy.


Raoul "Nobody" Chiesa

Nobody started his hacking & phreaking approaches back in 1986, belonging to the first era of worldwide computer hackers, and had real fun until 1995. As founder and C.T.O. of @ Mediaservice.net, an italian vendor-independent, security consulting firm, Raoul Chiesa has been active in the field of computer security research at a high level since 1997, together with a team of experts and technicians who gave their contribution to national and international Security R&D projects. Since 2003, Raoul Chiesa is the Southern Europe Referent for TSTF (Telecom Security Task Force), an international panel of consultants with high level skills on telcos present in four continents; in the same year Raoul Chiesa was elected in the ISECOM International Executive Board, following his role of Director of Communications for the Institute (2004). Raoul is also a founder and Board of Directors Member for CLUSIT (Italian Computer Security Association) and OWASP Italian Chapter.

Zeljko Vrba

Born in 1977, obtained a computer engineering graduate degree in 2001. at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, Croatia. After graduation, he has worked for several years in the industry as a UNIX system administrator on mission-critical systems (most notably, a commercial CA), C and C++ programmer. He also did some embedded systems programming in C (PalmOS) and assembler (Microchip PIC).

Currently, he is a PhD student at the Institute for Informatics at the University of Oslo, specializing in operating systems. His professional interests also include cryptography, computer security and applied mathematics.


Daniel Mende and Oliver Roeschke

Daniel and Oliver are long time network geeks who love to explore network protocols and to break flawed ones. They are reknown experts for network and device security and seasoned speakers at international security conferences.


Joffrey Czarny

Joffrey Czarny is pen-tester for the Security Research Centre of Telindus since 2001. He also spoke at security-focused conferences (Wireless Conference at Infosec Paris and Wireless Workshop at Hack.lu 2005).


Skyper

Skyper is running the segfault.net project. He provides a secure and private research environment to others. He is a privacy advocate and enjoys breaking things. He likes phone phreaking and computer security (formerly known as hacking). Skyper did research with team-teso, was the editor of a online hacking magazine for 6 years and does now research with the gurus at thc.org. His experience are network protocols and cryptography.
